Your child’s summer learning adventure begins at Glenburnie School!
Glenburnie is offering two camp formats this July which include Vacation Camp and a combined Academic/Vacation Camp. Both camps are offered on a full-day basis for children from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 5, with a half day option for children starting Junior or Senior Kindergarten.
Exciting weekly themes such as: Super Heroes, Alice’s Wonderland Friends, School of Wizardry, and Glenburnie Idol, will be integrated throughout both Vacation and Academic/Vacation Camps for an enjoyable summer learning experience.
Vacation Camp – Glenburnie’s Vacation Camp provides a fun-filled day where campers enjoy a variety of activities, designed to encourage creative, innovative, and imaginative play-based experiences. This popular camp fosters independence, sharing, co-operation, participation, responsibility, leadership, and teamwork. Games, arts and crafts, drama, music, sports, water-play, and dress-up are sure to keep campers captivated.
Academic/Vacation Camp – This year’s thematic-based Academic Camp will provide children with the opportunity to expand upon their reading, writing, and math skills in a strong academic environment where they will be encouraged to strive to achieve their personal best. Our highly trained teachers provide an enjoyable and rewarding experience for campers, as they develop and celebrate their expanding skills. Strong academic, remedial, and enrichment programs are combined with a full afternoon of adventure, surprise, and mystery, with games, water-play, and dress-up, arts and crafts, drama, music, and sports. Active children benefit from a learning environment which is both stimulating and fun.
As this school year wraps up, Glenburnie’s Summer Camp is the perfect solution to ensuring that your child retains and expands upon their academic foundation, and benefits from a head start for the Fall. Every year, campers return to further develop their academic potential, fill in some of the ‘academic gaps’, reinforce, and extend core reading, writing, and math skills, and experience learning in an individualized and supportive private school setting.
