Glenburnie’s own marathon runner, Mrs. Morton, participated in the Around the Bay Race on Sunday, March 29th. Over 7000 runners took part in this 30 km. race which is held annually in the Hamilton Bay area. This is the oldest race in North America, predating the Boston Marathon. We are very happy to report that Mrs. Morton finished 3rd out of 500 runners in her age category of 35-39. What an amazing accomplishment! She was the 41st woman to finish the race, out of approximately 3500 runners. Way to go, Mrs. Morton!
