It is with great anticipation that we look forward to the many events that will take place at Glenburnie this month. Continuing with our Scholastic Book Fair, to our eagerly awaited Kindergarten/Primary holiday concert, North Pole Exposure, to our 5th annual family event – Sounds of the Season, to our Carol Sing, we have much to enjoy together over the next few weeks. As you walk through the hallways and classrooms, extensive learning, inquiry based project work, oral presentations, and holiday activities are in full swing.
Thank you to our amazing faculty who have overseen the following initiatives so far this year: Terry Fox Run, STEAM Events, United Way, Yearbook, Me to We Team/Artisans, School Production/Choirs/Band, Coaching and Varsity Sports, Electives, and the Scholastic Book Fair. In addition, I would also like to thank the many dedicated parents who are so generous with their time and their support of our school initiatives. We are always delighted to welcome back Alumni students who assist with props and set painting preparations, and we can offer them high school volunteer hours. To you all, your assistance is invaluable and truly appreciated.
Our teachers are looking forward to meeting with you to discuss your child’s/children’s First Semester Progress Report. We are pleased to celebrate their learning and accomplishments with you and look forward to setting new goals to be realized within the New Year. As always, I am available to meet with you to review your child’s academic and social progress and goals for the next semester.
Please note that we will be hosting our annual Holiday Carol Sing at 11:15 a.m. on our last day of classes, Wednesday, December 21st. Parents of course are welcome to attend.
It is truly our pleasure to work with you and your children. From all of us at Glenburnie School, we wish you and your family, a beautiful and joyful holiday season and all the very best in 2017. Classes will resume in the New Year on Monday, January 9th.
