Glenburnie Faculty

Glenburnie School is proud of its outstanding faculty of professional men and women who share their individual passions for literature, math, science, art, music, drama, and sport. They represent wonderful role models for their students.

At Glenburnie, our educators are measured, not only by their professional qualifications and university degrees, but also for their ability to continuously enrich and enhance student learning. To this end, they participate in ongoing professional development activities and outside conferences. Our dedicated staff encourages individuality, self-discipline, persistence, and integrity to help all students achieve at their fullest potential.

Glenburnie School’s Founder, Mrs. Linda Sweet, has 38 years of educational and administrative experience. She has taught at a variety of grade levels in both public and private educational settings. She holds a Masters Degree in School Administration, and certificates in Special and Gifted Education, Principal’s Training, and Early Childhood Administration. Mrs. Sweet’s passion and commitment to incorporate progressive and innovative techniques into her classrooms are ongoing. She has also been an active participant and leader in a wide variety of education, sport, and community forums.

Our dynamic Glenburnie team stresses strong parental communication and joint goal setting to further promote student success. Students are treated with dignity and respect, and are included as active partners in their education.
